  • The Storyboard Division is responsible for visualizing the script into clear, dynamic, and emotionally engaging storyboards that guide the entire production process.
    Storyboard Artists translate written scenes into visual sequences, defining composition, pacing, camera angles, and character acting that align with MKC Studio’s cinematic storytelling style.

    They work closely with the director and writers to ensure that every frame effectively communicates the story’s emotion, rhythm, and intent before moving into the sketch and line art stages.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Translate scripts and dialogues into visual storyboards with clear storytelling flow.

    • Plan and design camera angles, scene transitions, and panel composition to enhance readability and visual impact.

    • Establish mood, timing, and pacing consistent with the director’s vision.

    • Maintain style consistency and continuity across chapters or episodes.

    • Collaborate with the director and production leads to refine story flow and emotional beats.

    • Revise storyboard scenes based on creative feedback from the Art Director or Lead Storyboard.

  • The Sketch Division is responsible for creating the foundation of each scene through clear, expressive, and accurate draft drawings.
    Sketch Artists visualize the storyboard into detailed layouts, defining character poses, emotions, perspective, and background placement that capture the director’s vision and MKC Studio’s storytelling style.

    They play a crucial role in ensuring that every panel flows smoothly and reads clearly before moving into the line art stage.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Transform storyboard scenes into detailed sketch drafts with proper proportions, perspective, and clarity.

    • Define character expressions, poses, and camera composition based on the storyboard and direction notes.

    • Maintain consistency of style, anatomy, and storytelling flow across panels and chapters.

    • Ensure readability and emotional rhythm before the line art phase.

    • Collaborate closely with the Line Art and Direction teams to refine visual balance and storytelling emphasis.

    • Revise sketches according to director or art lead feedback.

  • The Line Art Division is responsible for transforming rough sketches into clean, finalized line art ready for the coloring stage.
    They ensure every stroke reflects MKC Studio’s signature style, clarity, and precision.
    In addition, Line Artists are required to refine and correct any inaccurate proportions or scale issues found in the initial sketch, ensuring the final line art is clean, balanced, and visually appealing.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Finalize clean line art from sketch drafts with clear and expressive lines.

    • Maintain visual consistency across panels and chapters.

    • Correct inaccurate proportions, scaling, and perspective from the draft sketch.

    • Adjust line weights according to lighting direction and depth.

    • Provide line-ready files for the Colorist team.

    • Revise artworks based on feedback from the Art Directo

  • The Coloring Division (Shadowing Stage) is responsible for bringing depth, mood, and atmosphere to the artwork through precise color application and shadow rendering.
    Colorists at MKC Studio enhance the storytelling by defining lighting, tone, and contrast that match the emotional intent of each scene while maintaining the studio’s consistent visual style.

    They ensure that every panel feels cohesive and immersive, providing the final visual harmony before effects and final touches are applied.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Apply base colors and detailed shadow layers according to lighting direction and story mood.

    • Maintain consistent color palette, tone, and lighting across panels and chapters.

    • Create depth and volume through accurate shadow and highlight rendering.

    • Collaborate closely with the Line Art and Lighting teams to ensure balance and visual clarity.

    • Adjust color tones to enhance atmosphere and emotional storytelling.

    • Revise artworks based on feedback from the Art Director or Lead Colorist

  • The Colorist Division handles the final visual stage, adding color, lighting, and atmosphere to enhance emotion and storytelling depth.
    They ensure the final output meets MKC Studio’s tone, color balance, and professional standards.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Apply color, lighting, and shadowing to characters and backgrounds.

    • Maintain consistency in tone, palette, and visual harmony.

    • Enhance the final look by adding depth and contrast.

    • Collaborate closely with Line Art and Art Director teams for final approval.

    • Ensure all deliverables meet DPI and production resolution standards.

  • The Production Manager (Japan) serves as the key liaison between MKC Studio and Japanese partners or clients.
    They oversee scheduling, communication, and workflow to ensure smooth, timely, and high-quality production aligned with international standards.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate production schedules between MKC teams and Japanese clients.

    • Ensure all deliverables meet client expectations and revision requests.

    • Manage file distribution, reports, and daily production updates.

    • Act as a communication bridge between the Director, Art Teams, and Japan-side partners.
